Worldwise Samba Drummers
I am proud to work with this community group who meet to learn high energy Afro-Brazilian percussion pieces. Preston's samba band, the group is open to anyone regardless of ability or experience. Instruments are available for newcomers. The Worldwise Samba Drummers perform at events around central Lancashire.
Wednesdays, 6.15pm-8.15pm in the UCLan Media Factory, Kirkham Street off Fylde Road, Preston. First time free then £5 per session.

Despite having no musical experience, I was instantly invited to join in all aspects of the group; playing, performing and socialising and I felt capable. Our leader Jon is a BRILLIANT musician and teacher and clearly has an empathy for his students. He recognises nerves and uncertainty when we play and modifies his sessions and encourages us at every step. It’s wonderful to be part of Worldwise Samba. Our teacher Jon clearly loves what he does and in turn we have a fantastic experience each time the band plays together."
