Illumination Community Choir
This group, formerly known as Galloway's Choir, sings simple songs in unison and in harmony, usually with keyboard accompaniment. No previous experience is required and all levels of ability are welcome (including those who say "but I can't sing"). The group is open to anyone but is delivered to be accessible to those with visual impairment meaning all instruction is provided through speech, singing and the keyboard rather than using visual cues. The songs are chosen and arranged such that the words can be learnt through repetition but anyone who wants lyrics can request them electronically in advance or printed in the format that best suits them.
Fridays, 12pm-1pm in Preston Central Methodist Church, Lune Street, PR1 2NL. Supported by the Central Methodist Church. £5 per session.

"I particularly value those sessions open to blind and visually impaired people. Jon's sessions are inclusive, fun and worthwhile, a chance to develop skill and confidence in music while at the same time meeting new people in friendly sessions."
